It’s 72 Degrees in My Head

Ah, lazy Saturday after Thanksgiving. Everyone’s gone, leaving me here to mend Pepperkat’s virus-laden PC. Her hard drive is currently dangling from my PC’s naked and exposed guts, while I copy her collection of every fricking anime, amv and mp3 on the planet onto my hard disk before I fdisk hers.

Kids! Can’t live with ’em. Can’t get a decent price for ’em on eBay.

Meanwhile, I just finished putting the old carcass in for a soak. No, it’s not time for my yearly bath. I meant the turkey carcass. Mmmm… turkey carcass…

It’s one of those annual traditions. Toss what’s left of the old bird into a pot of boiling water with a quartered onion, a couple of stalks of celery, a few baby carrots and an omg-I-lost-count number of garlic cloves. Mmmm… garlic cloves… And in a couple of hours I get to pick all the meat off the bones (yuck). But, oh, the end result will be soup delicioso!

It’s been a very good vacation–other than that stupid NaNoWriMo promise I made, broke, re-made, and broke again. I’m just not cut out to be a novelist, I guess. Is there a market for professional wise-ass? *sigh*

But all-in-all I’m feeling very relaxed. All is right with the world. Either that or the Gleeminex has kicked in…

Hope you all are enjoying your Happy Pie!
