Okay, Babs, I’ll play along.
1. Total amount of music files on your computer:
According to Windows Properties, I have 347 folders and 1638 files for a total of 6.63GB
2. The last CD you bought was:
Bought? As in paid money for? Um…probably a CD of Christmas music. The kids bought me Dark Side of the Moon for Christmas, since the last copy I had of that went the way of my LP’s. (Besides, they wanted to get high and sync it up with the Wizard of Oz, just like everyone else.)
3. What is the song you last listened to before reading this message?
I’m kinda embarassed to say that I was listening to myself, but it’s true. I was playing If I Had A Boat for Pepperkat in the car. I just clicked on Winamp, and the first song up was Simon & Garfunkel’s “For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her.”
4. Write down 5 songs you often listen to and/or that mean a lot to you:
“Positively 4th Street” – Bob Dylan
“The Shores of Swilly” – Sinead O’Connor
“Walk Through This World With Me” – George Jones
“Come Pick Me Up” – Ryan Adams
About a dozen different Ramones songs
5. What 3 people are you going to pass this baton to and why?
Ship of Fools (‘cuz Bran needs more to do)
Sigmund, Carl and Alfred (‘cuz that man do loves his memes)
pickle juice (‘cuz she’s obviously bored and needs some blogging ideas)
UPDATE: I think Babs missed the part of the meme where you’re supposed to list 10 random songs. Even if she didn’t, I’m bored enough to list some:
“Dosed” – Red Hot Chili Peppers
“Leah” – Roy Orbison
“Changing Your Demeanour” – The Chieftains
“Eleanor Rigby” – The Beatles
“Pink Houses” – John Mellencamp (MTV Unplugged)
“Blooming Vale” – Anonymous 4
“Cocktails For Two” – Spike Jones and His City Slickers
“The Scotsman” – Bryan Bowers
“The 59th Street Bridge Song” – Simon and Garfunkel
“Dulaman” – Clannad
WOO! you’re on, baybee!
Yay on the Scotsman!
I didn’t miss it! Jaya didn’t have it! Blame her!! 😛
(i added my ten post-postem.)
I have every single song you have mentioned in this post, on my hard drive. Are we long-lost siblings?
