We Interrupt This Broadcast

I am in the process of switching over to BloggerZone. As the domain gets moved to their servers, you may feel a slight loss of consciousness…

Direct, non-DNS access will be available via http://66.246.23.2/~solonor/, but it will be messy for a bit.

Why am I doing this? Peer pressure. Simple peer pressure.

All the cool kids are doing it. Um, not that Michele is cool. Let’s not get silly…

Perhaps He Was Dictating?

Look, if he was dying, he wouldn’t bother to carve “Argh”, he’d just say it!

I’m so frickin’ hooked to this blog that I had to spend five minutes carving “Argh” into the rock before I collapsed last night. How sad is that?

Me feel better now. Vitamin C (and a two-hour nap on the plane) been berry berry good to me.

Curses!

I forgot to mention that when I flew out here Monday, I got bored in the airport and tried one of those Sprint check-your-mail-and-web things.

Thanks, I think, to my accurate reporting of the encounter with the Princess of the Blogiverse, I could not access my site.

THIS SITE HAS BEEN RESTRICTED DUE TO INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT.

So, am I inappropriate? For whom?

Take Care, Snow Bunnies!

Flying home tomorrow. Halle-frickin’-lujah. I hope the flights aren’t too screwed up with this snow storm. I made the mistake of watching Dan Rather and his band of fear-mongerers go overboard reporting it tonight.

I hope anyone who reads this who is in the affected area takes it easy on the roads and just settles down for a nice night of hot cocoa and movies. I assume the poor folks in the Carolinas don’t have power and can’t read this. So, I’m praying for them to get their juice back soon. Until then, snuggle up!

It Lives!

Just some random notes from the road, before this crappy “high-speed” connection gives out again.

  • BBQ in KC is purty dang awesome. I got some Arthur Bryant BBQ sauce to bring home. Mmmmmm…
  • It’s really, really windy here. I think the temp would be about 68 without the wind. With it, the current temp is somewhere between frickin’ freezing and witch’s teet.
  • Did I mention this connection sucks?
  • I love my kids. They’re so protective and righteous. Don’t know where that comes from…

Finally, I must add:

I Love a Parade!

Our ringmaster, Bigwig, woke up one morning and said, “Hey! What if I let my baby wander around the blogiverse naked?” And thus, this week’s Carnival of the Vanities showed up on Michele’s doorstep for her to feed and clothe.

I think she done duded it up quite nicely. And she even let me contribute a smelly old sock!

Kansas City Kiddie

Well, I made it to the big KC. I got to the hotel last night and found that it has high-speed Internet access! Yay! But I lost my pcmcia ethernet adapter. Boo! So, last night, I tried to use the 14.4 dialup to get on the Web via Juno.

The pain! The pain!

Today, the company I am working with scrounged me up a new pcmcia card and adapter to use while here. Yay!

So, I hate to disappoint you Christine, but I will be able to continue to annoy you from afar. Mwahahaha!

Current temp: 30-degrees (20-deg wind chill) And it’s getting ready to snow… But I’m not cold! It’s really strange and happens every time. At home in Florida, if the temp dips below 70, I’m freezing. I go on the road in the 20-degree winter weather with just a sweater and a light jacket, and I’m fine.

Tomorrow’s Forecast

Scattered blogging outages with a chance of complete blogger blackout.

Today I leave for Kansas City (Kansas City, here I come). Brrr. They got some crazy little women there, but I’m not gonna get me some . . . unless they’re giving away free coats. All I have is my Florida winter attire, which consists of a light jacket and a cup of hot cocoa.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to hook up during the trip, so this might be the last entry until Friday.

Next Week: Columbus, Indiana! Yay.
