Well, it’s all sewn up now. After several weeks of considering the possible outcomes, Al Gore decided not to run in 2004 against wKen. A smart move, if you ask me. There was no chance for him to win the Democratic nomination, much less the presidency–especially after Suzie was tapped as wKen’s running mate.

wKen’s press release when announcing his candicacy puts it best:

Who better defines sexy leadership in this 21st Century than I do? Nobody. I am intelligent, articulate, and sexual without lying or cheating. I am not in bed with big corporations or other special interests, and cannot be bought (though a daily rental may be available).

So, there you have it. Gore’s down, so there’s nobody but The Shrub left to beat. As Suzie put it: “We’re so gonna win.”

I still think Suzie should be on top.

According to my stats, I get a ton of visitors looking for three or four specific posts in my archives. Unfortunately, since I moved everything around and reinstalled MT, all the numbers have changed. So, now I have a bunch of you coming in from Google going, “What the…? That’s not what I wanted, dumbass!”

It’s one thing to go on vacation and say, “I’m not gonna even think about my blog or my website for a week.” It is quite another to be stuck out in the boonies with a bad dial-up connection for a week after moving your site to a new web host… I got to dial in for about five minutes a night… just long enough to see how crappy everything was going.

Tagboard dead.
MySQL dead.
Individual archives with SQL errors.
XML feed dead.
Home page screwed up.
All genealogy pages wiped out.
All my fault, and I couldn’t do a darn thing about it.
Frustration city.

Ah well, I’m back now. All is fixed. Genealogy pages are being uploaded as we speak.

Now I just have to catch up on a week’s worth of other peoples’ blog entries and find all the archive posts that people come here looking for and put them out there somewhere (all the numbers changed, yay)… not to mention that I owe posts to The Liberty Dogs and BlogCritics…
OR the fact that Gretchen has been whining about her complete snub in the Minion Calendar…
OR that it’s frickin’ Christmas and I haven’t taken the kids out to shop for Mom, yet…
OR that I haven’t gotten my Two Towers tickets yet!!

This site is still all screwed up, because the domain hasn’t finished filling up all those DNS server databases scattered across the Internet. I replaced just enough “solonor.com” with “66.246.23.2/~solonor” to make it work. The rest will have to wait for the web to catch up with me.

I’m off to Indiana today. So, if things are still messy, they’re gonna stay messy until I get back. Ciao!
