She Needs Her Friends, Now!

Well, due to technical difficulties, this didn’t get much air time yesterday. So, I bumped it back to the top, where it belongs.

There is nothing wrong with giving others your time and money. Ever. Charities, trips, sick pets, tip jars, whatever… We have all chipped in a buck or two to help out a fellow blogger. Now it’s time to step up to the plate and help a friend.

I’m not going to sugar-coat this. Kat has finally seen a doctor about her back. She has severe damage to several discs and a cyst growing on one. Go check out the pictures and the x-rays on her Backblog, then give her some damned money!

She’s got two kids, can’t work, needs an operation in a city that’s 6 hours away, and the government in its infinite wisdom has decided to cut off one form of assistance in anticipation that she’ll “probably” get another. (I know what that last part is like from personal experience, and it sucks sweaty donkey balls.)

Don’t tell me you don’t have it. Skip that second (or third) showing of the Matrix and give her the twenty bucks.

You’re right. There’s nothing wrong with giving, or asking. I get so annoyed with people who have to get up in arms about others asking for help.
