The Prodigal Returns

Pepperkat returned from the wilderlands (Pennsylvania) last night. She had a thousand things to show us and a thousand stories to tell. Unfortunately, she got home at 12:30am, so the part of my brain that processes that stuff just heard “blah la blah blah omigawd blah blah Gettysburg blah Philly blah blah Amish blah blah blah” at about ten thousand rpm. Her troop leader looked like someone had run over her with a truck. (“They haven’t stopped talking for 14 days!”) I was also told that there isn’t a single souvenir left in Hershey since the plague of locusts Girl Scouts hit town.

I’m glad she’s back. It was way too quiet around here.

What are Tasty Kakes? Besides a speller’s nightmare.
