I admit it. I’ve been lazy. I know I should be using Firebird or Opera. But I’ve been waiting for that gentle nudge from Microsoft to push me over the edge. Something along the lines of Microsoft to drop standalone IE, maybe?
Yeah, that oughta do it.
ACK!!!! Now how the heck am I going to sleep at night thinking about all this?? This is really freaky!! I’ve always loved my IE…… :o(
Well, it’s not going away… it’s just going to be embedded in the OS. I think.
Yes. It’s going to be embedded in Longhorn. (Blech)
Firebird is the ONLY way to go. Try it. You’ll love it. 🙂
No more IE updates and bug fixes and a stagnant software with no innovation, more reasons to drop IE.
I’m a Mozilla man for now. Firebird is still wonky and how does one say… FUCK Opera.
Not looking toward a fulfilling career as an Opera sales rep, eh?
Go Mac baby!
XP and everything about it just scares me. I think I will be running Win98 on my windows box for eternity.
I’m using opera right now.
I like it alot. I also like/love MYIE2… that didn’t come from Microsoft. Go to http://www.myie2.com to see what it’s all about.
The only thing that I am having a problem with in the new Opera 7 is that it doesn’t do that well with some Java websites. I’m looking to see if there is some pluge-in for that problem.
I haven’t seen Firebird…… just had a quick look.. looks like they are improving on Mozzilla. I don’t like it that much… but then I haven’t given it a full run thrugh of what it can do on a good computer.
I have XP at work. I like it….I really do. But I don’t use IE… I have Opera on one and I use MYIE2 on the other one. Out of the two, I like MYIE2. It has the nice look of XP, but it has a whole bunch of new neat tricks, and it’s has tabbed browsing.. I hope I spelled it right.
Oh.. for that girl or guy that wants to live in Win98… grow up. You will never crash again, and your programs will at least try and look cool.
In a few years, you will be in the same boat as Windows 3.1. Start saving up for a new computer, and if you really, really don’t want to use the very pretty, very stable XP, try the not so pretty, but very stable Windows 2000.
