In addition to the Top 10 Authors and Top 10 Recording Artists, we come to my 10 favorite movies. One more time, for those following along at home, these are the first ones that popped into my head. Please, if you argue with me, I’ll probably say, “Yeah, I guess you’re right” or “Ooh, how could I have forgotten that one?”
Top 10 Favorite Movies
1. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
2. [spot reserved for LOTR: Two Towers]
3. [spot reserved for LOTR: Return of the King]
OK, that’s not fair. Those are all tied for first place as one movie. Let’s move on.
2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark
4. Young Frankenstein
5. Blazing Saddles
6. Star Wars (Episode IV) – the real one
7. Airplane
8. The Wizard of Oz
9. Rear Window
10. Ghostbusters
Argh! Again, 10 is not enough. Where’s Duck Soup and Dr. Strangelove and Bridge on the River Kwai and on and on and on. Oh well.

Good List. In fact you picked a lot that I would pick. If I could humbly suggest a few movies:
1. 2001: A Space Odyssey – Kubrick, THE master. This movie is just jaw dropping amazing, if you can’t follow it, read the book. All will become clear.
2. Aliens – James Cameron – THE master of action movies, bar none. This movie floored me when it came out, and it still is INTENSE to watch, watch the full director’s cut if you can.
3. Hanna and Her Sisters – Could have also picked “Annie Hall” or Sleepers” but “Hanna” is my favorite Woody Allen movie.
4. Amadeus – Great story, superb acting.
5 Silence of the Lambs – CREPPY! Much scarier than a bucket full of Jasons or Freddies, this movies just chills because the bad guys are so real.
6. This is Spinal Tap – Ah, guess why.
Oh, man, I knew I’d do that. I left off “The Princess Bride” and “Spinal Tap”.
This is why I don’t so those kinds of lists…. it’d drive me (more) nuts!
Tap, Silence, Aliens, Python….arrrrrrrghhhhhh
Too many good ones. This is a good problem.
Hmm. I’ll have to post mine at some point.

Blame Solonor. No, really, go ahead, blame him for anything you want. Bad year for crops? It’s his fault. Monsoons
