Oscar Snubs ‘Two Towers’ In Makeup Voting. They also left off Men in Black II and The Hours (thought to be a shoo-in by some).
In fact, only The Time Machine and Frida were thought to be “that one outstanding film.”
Head, I’d like you to meet Ass.

The Time Machine??? Everyone who has seen it says it sucked… I guess the only thing it had going for it was makeup.
I would be very surprised if the Two Towers won in any category other than “best battle scenes” or “best cgi” or whatever the equivalent is, though if you ask me it’s a lot more difficult to convincingly (is that a word? it is now) act the part of a fantasy creature like a hobbit or an elf than it is for an actress to play the part of a weepy, misunderstood woman. What a $#@!%~! joke!
They need a new Oscar category for Gollum. He was incredible.
So the outstanding makeup in Frida was…. the unibrow they pasted on Selma? Puhlease. No matter who wins, everyone knows that LOTR:TTT is the real winner. I mean, you can’t even tell those Orcs are people under there! (They are just people in costumes, right?)
