Bush report: Sending jobs overseas helps U.S.

Silly auto worker.
Your job didn’t go to Mexico for nothing. It’s to help the economy!

Silly textile worker.
Quit whining about trying to feed your family, now that your job’s gone to Korea and you have to make ends meet by working at McDonald’s. At least your taxes went down!

Silly IT worker.
Don’t you know how much smarter they are in India? Of course, we had to move your job to Delhi. Get with the program! (Sorry about the pun, though.)

Unemployment is progress. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

This is political suicide; I can’t believe they actually said this in an election year.

    Hubris, baby.

  2. Mac says:

Who needs a job when daytime television is so stimulating? *grin*

  3. Jeff says:

It is more than political suicide, it is economic suicide too. Just consider, as we outsource jobs, we are also outsourcing technologies and eventually places like Delhi and China may become the next silicon vally. If that were to happen, the only silver lining I can see is that housing prices in California will plummet.

    Yes, it’s from 1984. Good analogy. 🙂

Some commentors on my blog were trying to put forth the notion not too long ago that George Orwell would have supported all of this president’s acts.

I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.
