How come no one told me about the daily lightning strikes? You know… the ones that knock out your cable modem, because you haven’t set aside the money to buy a UPS even though you live in Florida and know you’re gonna get your power knocked out at least 27 bazillion times during the summer and have it fry your electronical equipment when it surges back on?
Actually, I think it’s a plot by my place of employ to get me to come into work early. Yeah! It’s all their fault! They could have bought me a UPS, but isn’t it suspicious that they didn’t? Hmmm…

I remember those lighting storms when I was in bootcamp with the Navy. There was also some story going around that some mean ole instructor was struck down for being just too mean… we wished it on our instructors every day.
We don’t get lightning like that back here, WHERE YOU USED TO LIVE… ahem.
