Warren Zevon

Blogcritics.org: Zevon passes

The phone don’t ring
And the sun refused to shine
Never thought I’d have to pay so dearly
For what was already mine
For such a long, long time
We made mad love
Shadow love
Random love
And abandoned love
Accidentally like a martyr
The hurt gets worse and the heart gets harder

The days slide by
Should have done, should have done, we all sigh
Never thought I’d ever be so lonely
After such a long, long time
Time out of mind
We made mad love
Shadow love
Random love
And abandoned love
Accidentally like a martyr
The hurt gets worse and the heart gets harder

Me? Fanboy? You betcha!

Man. I didn’t think about DragonCon this year until it was too late. A night or two before the event, I was chatting with Speaker, when he told me it was in Atlanta. That’s not that long a drive, and I missed it. Oh well. Next year.

In the meantime, go check out his photos of the stars. I can’t believe I missed seeing Walter Koenig and both Hollies from Red Dwarf. Argh!

Isn’t That Special?

ASV: Red Sox Fan

I feel safe putting this up, since the Sox blew another chance today. Not extremely safe, mind you. I have changed my name and address.

Signed,
Jorge Rodriguez

I haven’t been on the computer much today, so I almost missed the chance to direct your attention to the anniversary of the birth of my evil twin!

Oh look…

I think I can take down the evidence of last week’s foolishness. I won’t say anything further. *giggle*

After the Gold Rush

Back in the days when I was a bush pilot in Alaska, I used to fly tourists out of Fairbanks across the Alaska Range and into places like Delta Junction and Anaktuvuk. There’s some pretty spectacular scenery up there, but not a lot to do. One of the big attractions in Nenana, for example, is putting a big tripod out in the river and placing bets on when it will fall over. Whoo-boy.

Wasting Away Again in Blogaritaville

Christine took in this stray a while back. He’s a pretty cool cat, all things considered. Solonor’s Aortal Site of the Week is The Altered Blog.

Got any no-doze™?

Just fell asleep blogging. Guess that’s a sign to go to bed and finish my D-inspired story about Eskimo gold (and how I met my wife) tomorrow, eh?

Good night, Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea.
