Got a call from my wayward daughter Saturday. Asking for money, of course.
She was in Naples. We got her a VISA Buxx card (one of those ones you can preload with cash), but apparently she was having a hard time finding places that would take it. And since the whole reason for the card was to avoid carrying wads o’ cash, she was running low. It’s all good now, and it gave us a chance to hear how she’s doing.
She was excited because they visited Pompeii (something she’s wanted to do since she was little) and climbed Mt. Vesuvius (“I fell, but I didn’t break anything!”). Meanwhile, her mother’s reminding me that it seemed like just yesterday we put her on the bus for kindergarten, hearing her yell out, “Doctor! My brain hurts!”… yeah, she’s our kid.
Yesterday, she was scheduled to be in Rome and today to visit the Vatican.
God, I hope she doesn’t moon the Pope or something.
Heh! Mooning the pope would be something too funny to hear about on the news… 🙂
I’m only a little bit jealous of her. 😉 I’m glad she’s having fun. Needing money sounds like a good sign she’s enjoying herself.
She should drive up and down the Vatican in one of those Shriner cars, but with a bulletproof bubble on it.
THEN she should moon the Pope.
Sounds like she’s having a great time.
It sounds like the stuff dreams are made of. You should’ve got her one of those cell phones with a cam, and we couldn’t went with her! 😉
Oh come on, a little mooning never hurt anyone! *grin*
We got her a cheap digital camera. Hopefully we’ll have lots of pictures!
Maybe the Pope should meet her?
Yes, the Pope should meet her and apologize for the ATM stealing her card – JK:) It sould like such a wonderful trip!
