I hate being dependent on someone else for things. I can’t stand going somewhere and not having my own car to come and go as I please. It annoys the crap out of me when my blog is compromised by another site being down.
I understand it (it’s what I give up for the chance to use their cool toys), but it still ticks me off. Tag Board is dead. Hopefully temporarily. Sorry about the page delays.
Yesterday’s icky little preview has been replaced by a full-blown QuickTime one at lordoftherings.net! I’m giddy with glee!
Ain’t It Cool News and elsewhere are touting the latest and greatest trailer for The Two Towers. I saw it. I am still in shock.

Egad! I can’t believe it’s time for another Monday Mission.
Some of my favoritest writers in blogdom write for a little blogzine called Raising Hell. It’s all about parenting. But it’s not going to tell you how to make Little Lord Fauntleroy eat his peas. It’s more of a steam valve for the little darling’s parents when he eats the neighbor’s goldfish. Past topics have included Baby Blows Chunks, Drowning the Kid, and Don’t Pee in the Millenium Falcon.
As pointed out by a small victory: hell raisers (and countless others), RH is returning from summer hiatus tomorrow with a brand new look and some new authors. Please, give it a look. If you’re a parent, you will spew Coke all over your monitor. If you’re not, you never will be.
I am proud to be a lowly minion in the dark army of Mordant Carnival. She is ruler most high and sarcastic, and every day I chant 13 times Mew, Lasfar! Don’t Go Coo! in the vague direction of London…or Bithlo, if I’m on the toilet at the time…(sorry you didn’t win the Best British Blog, luv, but at least I tried!).
That is why it disturbs me that she felt she had to write THIS today.
Way back on frickin’ July 15, I made one little blog entry about a B3TA animation that I found at Mordant’s site “dog carcass in alley this morning” (that she found at plasticbag.org). It’s called “Spider-Man Will Make You Gay.” It is pretty funny–assuming you have a clue that irony is not, as Baldrick says, “like goldy and bronzy, only it’s made of iron,” but the term for the idea that watching a cartoon of Spider-Man dancing will turn you into a homosexual. But it’s not THAT funny!
Of the top 20 queries that lead to solonor.com, six of them have to do, in one form or another, with this stupid clip….and those represent 83% of the total number of requests for just the month of September! Hasn’t everyone seen the stupid thing by now?

OK, THIS needs to serve as a wakeup call to anyone who hasn’t seen fit to give McSweeny his due. Is it gonna kill ya to fork over ten bucks for a service you use every day?

Yes, my daughter has been selected to represent the United States on a trip that goes from New York to London, Paris, Venice, Rome, Naples, Athens and other stops along the way. She’s going to have to do a lot of fundraising to be able to go. And, of course, she’s determined to continue helping her Girl Scout troop raise money for the Washington, DC, trip they are going on next summer that she will miss. And, of course, she’s helping her middle school chorus raise money… And, of course, she is still volunteering once a month at Give Kids the World… She’s gonna be one tired puppy.
I am so jealous.
