Hello from Monday’s World of Work (British time)

Wow.

Work . . ..

This morning it tossed me up in the air, whirled me around and kept me up there defying gravity until it allowed me to make a reasonably comfortable landing at suppertime. How dare it interrupt the blogging . . ..

What… it’s Monday AGAIN?

Honestly… is anyone else ready for this week to be over already? Yeah, me too!

I have about 400 hits from someone that MT is blocking….(GOD BLESS MY IT DEPARTMENT)! Really, does ANYONE actually read this spam and go to these sites?

Do you? Come on…. fess up! Are you the reason that someone wants ALL my readers to know how penial enhancements work?

John Edwards: Breaking News

In an effort to redeem myself from my drunken ramblings of yesterday, I bring you this headline from Drudge (and I don’t even like him, honestly…..):

John Edwards Really Likes Diet Coke!

I’m on Beer #4

…..so forgive any grammatical / spelling errors. In honor of the lovely Sally’s London-ness, I wanted to share the fact that I have visited her homeland and a better place I cannot think of — except Disney World, but I’m freaky that way. It’s a bit too cool in ole London for me, however. And what’s up with the fact that you Brits do not offer ice ANYWHERE?! I managed to make friends with the bartender in our hotel back in 1991 because Mom needed constant supplies of ice for her Pepsi (gag). He saw me coming and immediately offered a huge bucket o’ ice for Mom’s pleasure. Bless him.

My Mum’s dear friend Shirley recently moved from Buckinghamshire to Suffolk, so I think I’m due for another visit as soon as my little ones are old enough to make the trip. Want to meet at Pizza Express for a nice dinner, Sally? It’ll be awhile, I’m afraid — our oldest daughter turns four in November and our youngest will be three in September. I want to see them through the age(s) of ten before we hit England so they remember what we did.

And this is all the rambling I’m able to bore you with at the moment. 😉 I promise to stay away from the ‘puter until I’m sober. Maybe.

London Talkathon Takes Place

Greetings from London, Inky Ones

Now Jenni has arrived we are complete.

Enrico arrived here last night and we talked for what I calculate was 7 hours (3 hours at my place, 1 hour to and from the restaurant, around our favourite streets and to the tube, and 3 hours at Pizza Express, our supper favourite).

The waiters at Pizza E turn down the music twice, presumably so they can listen too. They are lovely waiters. They gave us a table where there was NO smoke; they overfilled our glasses with their tastiest chianti and they got the chef to cook the poet a special pizza no longer on the menu.

No room for the film. Further report on Talkathon part II, probably taking place Tuesday.

Afternoon Musings

Hello from Michigan, where it’s nearly 90 degrees with stifling humidity. Jenni here, finally making my Ink Well debut. A belated happy b-day to my beer buddy Ric the Schmuck, who needs to pop Miracle in his DVD player soon. That goes for the rest of y’all, too. July’s not too early to pine for hockey, I always say.

Seeing as how I’ve kicked the entire family out today — they’re actually at a friend’s farm, where I’m sure they really appreciate this heat wave, bwahahaha — I’m going to nap and perhaps enjoy a beer later on. My Life = Excitement City.

Enjoy the rest of your trip back home, Solly, Mrs. R and family! Maybe I’ll have more interesting things to share after some alcohol later today.

So Far, So Good…

Well, it didn’t take too long to screw up the pool….

Solly took a peek at what we were up to Saturday afternoon. That was just a bit more than a day. Sheesh.

Don’t tell nobody

If youse knows what’s good for yas.

Tonight the Missus and I are hosting “The Chicago Caper” at our place.

If you’ve never played How to Host a Murder before – I highly recommend it. It’s a total blast! People really get into it. My character? Malissa F. Orrthot a.k.a. Scoop, a young reporter for The Chicago Trumpet. I’m off to assemble my costume – look for pictures tomorrow 😉

Good morning, America,

Anyone still up? Hey, Cranky Dragon was up.

The rest of you . . .. No?

I thought not.

So I blog alone, one hand clapping as the saying goes.

This is a situation not yet envisaged in blogworld . . . not yet envisaged by the all-seeing Solonor.

Sally
Saturday, London, England; everyone’s still asleep here too, dammit.

PS: Of course! The answer is a technological one! Thank you Microsoft! Computer enhancement: integrating our bodies into the network, so that software and data can be transmitted through our skins. Then I could wake you up. Tee hee.
