Forerunner *Baggins had an outstanding day at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium for the Ravenhill Darkwings today, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Darkwings fell to the Dagorlad Disaster, 8-4.
*Baggins had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 40-year-old first baseman banged out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 times and batted in 3 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Darkwings were not able to hold off the Disaster.
“Baseball is a funny game,” *Baggins said in the post-game interview, “You can’t dwell on the reasons for the loss. I’m sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out.”
Forerunner *Baggins hit a solo-shot off Wyqhael Rhuidhen in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Wyqhael Rhuidhen in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Fineen Fashnak in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Currently *Baggins is batting .273 with 82 hits and 33 home runs. He has knocked in 62 runs and scored 62 times.
