The Bucklebury Fairies were dealt a severe blow when Samwise Kingmaker was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Numenor Kings. After the game, the team trainer reported Kingmaker might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with shoulder inflammation. They indicated it would take Kingmaker at least 6 months to heal.
This season Kingmaker has compiled a 6-6 mark with a 5.09 ERA.
