The Bywater Bounders and Old Forest Merry Fellows hooked up in a classic Hobbit Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it’s Bywater heading off to the Fellowship Series, after a 2-0 win at Shire Greens Stadium tonight earned the 2-1 series win.
Outside Shire Greens Stadium, whether they were supporters of Bywater or Old Forest, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Ferdinand *Puttifoot played the hero for the Bounders in the series, as his MVP performance included a .583 batting average, with a .643 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Bywater Bounders will play against the Rivendell Royals in the next round. Rivendell had a bye in the Hobbit Series. The Fellowship Series schedule will be announced after the Hobbit Series finishes.
