Bounders Bramble to Miss Year

Tuesday, April 20th , 2049
The Bywater Bounders and their fans were rocked today by the news that star first baseman Esmeralda Bramble would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Bramble was hurt in a recent game against the Mirkwood Sylvan while running the bases. She was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn posterior cruciate ligament. Her doctors think that Bramble will miss about 9 months.

In her season totals, Bramble has no home runs, .267 BA, .340 OBP, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. She has played in 14 games.
