Kipchoge Bridger had a super August and has been rewarded with the Shire Conference Pitcher of the Month Award. The Carrock relief specialist was very effective, constantly coming in and getting his club out of trouble or protecting a one-run or two-run lead.
the Carrock bullpen ace starred with 11 saves in 13 relief appearances, logging 15.1 innings, 16 strikeouts, 3 walks and a 1.17 ERA. Bridger finished the month with 2 wins and no losses — and was named the league’s top pitcher.
This year Bridger has 34 saves. In 51 relief appearances he has tossed 60.1 innings, fanned 62 and given up 16 walks with a 4-1 record. The Carrock reliever has recorded a 1.94 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .171 when he is on the mound.
