He may not do it as often as in his glory days, but Wes Eärémbor showed today that he can still put on a show.
The 35-year-old Bywater second baseman blasted the Erebor Eagles pitching staff in Game 2 of the Two Towers Series at The Water Park today, helping the Bounders move one game closer to a Return of the King Series appearance. Eärémbor went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 5 runs and driving in 5 as the Bounders took the 19-0 win. With it, Bywater holds a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Ferdinand *Puttifoot, who finished 3rd in the SC in on-base percentage with .408 in 2049, chipped in for Bywater with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
Eagles manager Lumja Grelf did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference “if and when we win the Return of the King Series.”
The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 25th , 2049 at The Eyrie.
