It wasn’t easy but Ørjan Mørkved made it look that way.
Mørkved silenced the Bucklebury Fairies, 16-0, in a Bywater Bounders triumph at The Fairie Dome. Despite the appearance of dominance, Mørkved said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 1 hit.
“It didn’t feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it,” he said. “I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else.”
This season, Mørkved shows a 7-11 record in 23 games, 118 innings, 119 strikeouts, and a 5.57 ERA.
