It was a good day for the Numenor Kings and an exceptional one for Friagol Crystalembers. The 24-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Kings beat the Weathertop Witch Kings, 13-1, at Capital One Stadium.
“When you’re in the zone, the game really slows down,” Crystalembers said when asked about his performance later. “I couldn’t even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day.”
For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.
Friagol Crystalembers hit a three-run home run off Milo Dap in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Syrune Belawen in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Gruglum Legslobberer in the 8th.
To date, Crystalembers has collected 52 hits for a .317 average. He has posted 9 home runs, scored 33 runs and driven in 41 runs.
