The Old Forest Merry Fellows faced a challenging opponent in Rivendell Royals left-hander Gildor *Inglorion, but did just enough to squeak out a 3-2 win in Game 1 of the Fellowship Series. Old Forest now leads 1-0 in the best-of-7 series. The Merry Fellows won despite the Royals getting an excellent start from starter *Inglorion, who allowed no runs and scattered 4 hits over 7 innings.
Políbio the Seer, who finished 5th in the SC in on-base percentage with .393 in 2050, had a direct impact on the outcome. the Seer contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Old Forest up, 3-2.
“I’m just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well,” said the Seer. “And not try to do too much.”
