With starter Mablung Melwasul leading the charge, the Minas Morgul Slayers defeated the Dunharrow Devils, 4-1, in Game 3 of the Fellowship Series. The left-hander threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball at Dunharrow Field to help Minas Morgul take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Minas Morgul used the hitting of Lotho Madoc Willow to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Slayers on top, 2-0. For the game, Willow had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Minas Morgul manager Mimosa Willow commended his team for “doing what it takes to win.”
