The Old Forest Merry Fellows will have to find a new second baseman next year as veteran Wilda Anexoria is set to retire at the end of the 2051 campaign.
Anexoria, age 39, is ready for retirement. “Time takes its toll on this old body. I can’t do it as well as I want anymore. It’s time to hang up the spikes and make way for a younger player.”
In her career, Anexoria has hit .277 with 2369 hits, 428 doubles, 58 triples and 379 home runs. Her totals also include 1087 RBIs and 1408 runs scored.
