Bears Heading to Two Towers Series

The Carrock Bears didn’t hold back their excitement after beating the Rivendell Royals in the Fellowship Series tonight.

Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 6-1 win moving the club on to the Two Towers Series, clinching a 4-1 series win in front of the Old League Park crowd.

“This isn’t the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a Return of the King Series, so it’s an important step,” said Sam *Oakenstaff as he took a break from celebrating. “Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on.”

*Oakenstaff was named series MVP, as he hit .455 with a .478 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 3 runs.

On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Royals sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching Carrock celebrate.

The Carrock Bears don’t know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Old Forest Merry Fellows – Bywater Bounders series. Bywater leads the series 3 games to 1. The Two Towers Series schedule will be announced after the Fellowship Series finishes.
