The Numenor Kings got a strong game from starter Pippo McCrudden, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.
The Kings took the 2-1 win over the Dol Guldur Dragons in Game 4 of the Two Towers Series in a 10th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed McCrudden. McCrudden threw 8.1 innings of 1-hit ball in the win, which brought the Kings into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Numenor got a knockout punch from Rumzug Steale. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might’ve been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
“There’s nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win,” Steale said.
