The Narnia Badgers started the Ultimate Championship in style, winning on the road against the Carrock Bears at Old League Park by a score of 4-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Badgers right-hander Orkun Peddle threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball.
Narnia used the hitting of Vormina Morealob to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Badgers on top, 4-1. For the game, Morealob had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
“I try to keep my center,” said Peddle, “try to keep things in perspective.”
