Kings Clip Disaster, 8-7, in Fellowship Series Contest

Dagorlad left fielder Anurudha Fyra pounded Numenor pitchers at Capital One Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Disaster from losing in a walk-off. The Kings fell, 8-7, in Game 2 of the Fellowship Series. Fyra was 2 for 5 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 5, even though the Disaster fell into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

The decisive blow was delivered by Grimnir Gleransson in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Li-cong Mickens to win the game for Numenor. The home crowd went nuts.

“This place was rockin’,” Gleransson said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium.
