With starter Thuthor Elaril leading the charge, the Rivendell Royals defeated the Moria Miners, 4-3, in Game 2 of the Two Towers Series. The right-hander threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball at Royals Stadium to help Rivendell take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Camillo Meriken, who finished 5th in the SC in OPS with .962 in 2045, chipped in a 2-run home run for Rivendell in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
“Thuthor did a good job keeping the game under control,” said Rivendell manager Golloron Nerith.
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Khazad-dum Stadium.
