The Dunharrow Devils are one game away from a sweep of the Ultimate Championship after stifling the Dyson Spheres by a score of 7-0 at Hatchets Stadium. Devils right-hander Amanda Black had a strong performance. She threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. Dunharrow now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Black, a native of Newbury, Hobbit Lands, was dealing all game. She kept Dyson hitters off-balance, while giving the Devils 7.2 quality innings. Black threw 106 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 6.
“We’ll take some time to unwind,” said Black, “and then get after it again.”
