At only 22 years of age, Sam *Oakenstaff could very well have many more months like this last one during his career.
That would be great news for fans of the Carrock Bears, as June was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the Shire Conference Batter of the Month award.
On the month he hit .423 with 11 home runs, 20 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
This season *Oakenstaff is batting at a .345 clip with 21 home runs and 50 RBIs.
