The Mordor Conference presented its Player of the Week Award to Dead Marshes Uruk-hai shortstop Ugak *the Masher.
“His numbers speak for themselves,” a club publicist said. “He’s been really seeing the ball well.”
Indeed, *the Masher has. Last week he went 11 for 22, batted .500 with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs.
Posting a .345 batting average to date, *the Masher has 13 home runs and 31 RBIs.

Once you hit 35, it’s hard to say how much time you’ve got left in baseball. Ferdinand *Puttifoot has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 41-year-old third baseman, a favorite in the Bywater Bounders clubhouse, hit .480 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers.
*Puttifoot also put together 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBIs for the week.
This season, *Puttifoot is swinging the bat at a .375 rate with 60 hits in 160 at-bats. To date he has hit 14 home runs, scored 36 runs and driven in 34.

Camillo Meriken had to leave the Cheese game against Minas Ithil after suffering an oblique strain while running the bases. He will be out of the lineup at least 6 weeks. He told reporters, “I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong.”
This season, Meriken is batting at a .269 clip with 7 home runs and 22 RBIs.

Garbhaka Yorba of the Dol Guldur Dragons was injured in today’s game against Weathertop and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a severely strained hip muscle, and he is expected to be out for up to 6 weeks. It happened while Yorba was running the bases. “It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field.”
This year, Yorba is batting .250 with 4 home runs.

Narcissus Earararil is respected by most Ravenhill Darkwings fans for her no-frills style of play. The 23-year-old left fielder went about her business with vigor last week to grab the Mordor Conference Player of the Week honors.
She compiled a .545 average (12-for-22) with 1 home run, 2 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
So far this season, Earararil is hitting .245 with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 28 runs scored. She has 38 hits in 155 at-bats and a .354 OBP.
