Bugsmasher in Command, No-Hits Stars

Saturday, September 21st , 2052
In a dominant outing, Snuknogh Bugsmasher of the Minas Morgul Slayers totally silenced the bats of the Grey Havens Stars, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the 2-0 victory, Bugsmasher faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 11 strikeouts and 3 walks.

“Honestly, I didn’t even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning,” Minas Morgul manager Mimosa Willow said. “I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn’t gotten any.”

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Lord Panda had a “pretty simple” analysis of the game.

“The Slayers had all the hits and all the runs, so they won,” he snapped. “But yeah, Bugsmasher pitched a heck of a ballgame.”

This season, Bugsmasher has compiled a 12-6 mark, 2.26 ERA and made 33 starts.
