An old hand in this game, Gildor *Inglorion of the Rivendell Royals silenced critics as well as he silenced the opposition this year by winning the Shire Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award.

The 35-year-old starter threw 267.2 innings, notched 247 strikeouts and put up a 21-6 record to claim the coveted award.

Pandora Baecker of the Old Forest Merry Fellows finished second in voting, while Bloga Axesnapper of the Carrock Bears finished third.

2051 Best Hitter Selected In SC

What a way to finish off the year — being honored with the 2051 Sam Gamgee Batter in the Shire Conference. It had already been a very special season for Bywater’s Ferdinand *Puttifoot, but today’s announcement really put the icing on his cake.

All season long Ferdinand *Puttifoot gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .347 as he collected 140 hits, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 30 home runs and 90 RBIs.

Sam *Oakenstaff of the Carrock Bears finished second in voting, while Alrond *Hubbard, Jr. of the Old Forest Merry Fellows finished third.

Mordor Conference Picks Premiere Rookie

Rookies are supposed to be seen, but not heard. But that wasn’t the case with Dagorlad’s Romochka Carnicas. He spoke up loudly and often this season on his way to winning the Mordor Conference Frodo Rookie Award for 2051.

To be accurate, the 33-year-old shortstop let his performance do the talking. In his debut season Carnicas piled up some good stats, hitting .235, driving in 66 runs and scoring 77 times, while playing in 146 games. The Disaster newcomer also had 19 doubles, 2 triples and 32 home runs.

Hyeon-cheong Alejadre of the Dagorlad Disaster finished second in voting, while Doruk the Badger of the Lothlorien Lumberjacks finished third.

Erashev Top Rookie in 2051

2051 was a much better year than Adonis Erashev expected. This spring he was overjoyed at just making the Moria roster. Not only did he make the team, he was the starting right fielder. Then it got even better.

In his debut season, Erashev hit .267 with 153 hits in 572 at-bats, 25 home runs, 71 RBIs, 65 bases on balls and a .349 on-base percentage — good enough numbers to be honored with the Shire Conference Frodo Rookie Award.

Guruvayur Livertrembler of the Erebor Eagles finished second in voting, while Tulbug Weigle of the Erebor Eagles finished third.

Carrock Win Ultimate Fantasy Baseball Association Championship!

It’s official! The Carrock Bears are the proud possessors of the Ultimate Fantasy Baseball Association championship trophy. They claimed it with a 7-2 win over the Andelain Giants to defeat them in the series 4-2. The Bears manager said, “This is the perfect end to a perfect season.” Commenting on the year he continued, “We had good players … and that’s the bottom line. They worked hard, played hard, hustled … and they had fun.” During the Shire Conference Hobbit Division regular season, Carrock finished first in the standings with a record of 86-76.

Kidneycrusher, Bears Wallop Giants in Game 5 of Series

When the games really matter, the Carrock Bears put on their best show, beating the Andelain Giants by a final score of 8-0. Legeron Kidneycrusher hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Carrock now leads Andelain 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.

Kidneycrusher had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bears went on to win.

“We were firing on all cylinders,” said Bears manager Tigia Eladriendel.

Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Old League Park.

Carrock Win Evens Series at 2

The Carrock Bears took down the Andelain Giants by the score of 8-1 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Ultimate Championship. The largest share of the credit belongs to Carrock starter Kragzub Kidneycrusher, who threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball.

Kidneycrusher allowed no runs on 1 hit over 5.2 innings for the Bears. He walked 2 and struck out 6.

“Kragzub went out and did what we needed,” said Carrock manager Tigia Eladriendel.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Monday, November 13th , 2051.

Andelain Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in Series

Leave it to the veteran.

The Andelain Giants got a great start from 34-year-old right-hander Lantina Orlovsky, as Andelain won the contest, 5-1, at Andelain Fields. Orlovsky threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball in the win, which allowed the Andelain to grab a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Nremyn Nenharma dealt the Bears a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Andelain leading 1-0, Nenharma hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single.

“I’m just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well,” said Nenharma. “And not try to do too much.”

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, November 12th , 2051.

Andelain Win Evens Series at 1

Behind a bravura effort from starter Enlwar Lomenduil, the Andelain Giants topped the Carrock Bears by the score of 7-0 and got their first win in the 2051 Ultimate Championship. Lomenduil threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball for the Giants. The win moves Andelain into a 1-1 tie with Carrock.

Lomenduil was in the zone all game. He frustrated Carrock hitters while giving the Giants 6.1 innings of quality work. Lomenduil threw 90 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 4 punchouts.

“The key at this level is throwing strike one,” said Lomenduil. “Successful pitchers do it.”

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, November 11th , 2051 at Andelain Fields.

Armortearer, Bears Wallop Giants in Game 1 of UFBA Championships

The Carrock Bears started the Ultimate Championship in style, downing the visiting Andelain Giants at Old League Park by a score of 7-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bears designated hitter Justin Armortearer was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That’s when Armortearer hit a 2-run home run off Déagol Bracewaith. It propelled the Bears into the lead, 2-0.

“Good pitching stops good hitting,” said Armortearer. “And vice-versa.”

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thursday, November 9th , 2051.
