Starter Soia Virata was sensational for the Dead Marshes Uruk-hai in his team’s 4-1 triumph over the Forgotten Realms Kobolds in Game 2 of the Ultimate Championship today. Virata pitched well, but Dead Marshes picked up the win to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
In his 84-pitch effort, Virata allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 6.2 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 8.
“It has been an incredible experience today,” Virata said in the clubhouse following the game. “It’s a short list of people who have started in the Return of the King Series at all, and an even shorter list who have done a good job of it.”
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Ballpark of Forgotten Realms.
