The Dead Marshes Uruk-hai started the Ultimate Championship in style today, downing the visiting Forgotten Realms Kobolds at Uruk-hai Field by a score of 7-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Uruk-hai second baseman Ugak *the Masher went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2.
The Uruk-hai took the lead in the bottom of the second when Phaimina Srinshee banged a two-out double. Dead Marshes had been trailing 1-0, but Srinshee hit a 2-2 changeup from Kruzg Daggerdrinker for a 2-run double.
Srinshee attributed the win to “energy and focus on the part of everyone.”
