It was a great day for Giden Eladriewen, but not a good one for his Dol Guldur Dragons. The 35-year-old third baseman reached a personal milestone with his 500th career homer, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Lothlorien Lumberjacks, who came away with a 3-2 victory. Eladriewen finished the day with 1 hit, 1 run batted in and 2 runs scored.
“Well, I’ve conceded the fact that you can’t will yourself to hit a home run,” he said. “I tried hard for the last few days. It was getting to be embarrassing with the crowd standing up every time I came to the plate.”
His career numbers show Eladriewen has batted .257 and collected 1894 hits, 500 home runs and 1248 RBIs.
