Erebor’s Darkelf to Miss Season

Friday, June 25th , 2049
The doctors have spoken and Foisil Darkelf of the Erebor Eagles didn’t like what he heard. The 31-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Darkelf sustained his season-ending injury during the Old Forest Merry Fellows game yesterday at Shire Greens Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Erebor medical staff reported Darkelf had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months.

Taking a look at his season stats for 2049, Darkelf has made 28 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 4-2 won-lost mark with a 2.90 ERA. In pitching 40.1 innings, he has totaled 51 strikeouts and 12 walks.
