Vormina Morealob of the Royals just might have to call it quits for the season. The 27-year-old Rivendell shortstop received a possible season-ending injury against the Old Forest Merry Fellows recently at Royals Stadium. Morealob suffered a broken kneecap while running the bases. The Royals medical staff said she could be out quite some time, as much as 7 months.
Morealob is presently hitting at a .273 pace with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs. She has played in 48 games and scored 15 times.
