The Minas Tirith Titans and the Erebor Eagles will take the Fellowship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Titans beat the Eagles 8-5 at Elrod Stadium at Finrod Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Minas Tirith second baseman Lily Pelham went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. She scored 3 runs and drove in 4.
Pelham went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 against the Eagles. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, she hit a 3-run home run that put Minas Tirith in front, 8-5.
Pelham said the win provided a “big morale boost” for the team. “There’s a good feeling in the clubhouse right now.”
