It went the distance, but the Erebor Eagles finally disposed of the Minas Tirith Titans 10-1 in the series clincher at Elrod Stadium at Finrod Field.
Winning the finale gave the Eagles the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Two Towers Series.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Erebor third baseman Thrubbuh Djurdjuvic. He batted .308 in the series, collecting 7 RBIs and scoring 6 runs.
“Thrubbuh deserves it,” said Eagles manager Lumja Grelf. “He was the glue that held our club together.”
The Erebor Eagles will play against the Bywater Bounders in the next round. Bywater won their series against the Carrock Bears 4 games to 1. The Two Towers Series schedule will be announced after the Fellowship Series finishes.
