When the games really matter, the Bywater Bounders put on their best show, beating the Carrock Bears by a final score of 4-3 today. Z. Beryl of the Lake was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Bywater now leads Carrock 1-0 in the best-of-7 affair.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Bywater first baseman Timi Rossiter, facing Kipchoge Bridger, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Bounders the 4-3 win.
“It’s great when the crowd is energized,” Rossiter said.
