The Minas Tirith Titans started the Fellowship Series in style today, downing the visiting Erebor Eagles at Elrod Stadium at Finrod Field by a score of 7-4 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Titans left-hander Snaglut Baldivía threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball.
Baldivía was in the zone all game. He frustrated Erebor hitters while giving the Titans 7 innings of quality work. Baldivía threw 86 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 10 punchouts.
“I was the aggressor,” said Baldivía. “No doubt about it.”
