The Old Forest Merry Fellows downed the Minas Tirith Titans, 6-0, in Game 1 of the Hobbit Series. Snaglut Baldivía was a key factor. He threw 8.2 innings of shutout ball. The win puts Old Forest up, 1-0, in the series.
Baldivía was in the zone all game. He frustrated Minas Tirith hitters while giving the Merry Fellows 8.2 innings of quality work. Baldivía threw 110 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 12 punchouts.
“Nice to see our side come away with the win,” Baldivía said after the game.
Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at Elrod Stadium at Finrod Field.
