Carrock Star Takes Triple Crown

Tuesday, October 4th , 2050
Carrock fans adore first baseman Sam *Oakenstaff — and for good reason — the Bears slugger completed a phenomenal season by winning the prestigious Triple Crown. He’s the 10th player in SGCBL history ever to do it. The 23-year-old *Oakenstaff led the Shire Conference in batting average, home runs and RBIs.

“To win this honor is beyond belief,” he said. “Just to lead in one of the categories is great. To lead in all three is unbelievable.”

No one will soon forget the mammoth numbers he put up this season: a .329 average with 39 home runs and 115 runs batted in.
