Moria Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1

The Moria Miners have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Rivendell Royals, winning, 7-2, at Khazad-dum Stadium. Miners left-hander Halpaeril Moonsbreath threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Miners to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Two Towers Series.

In the bottom of the fifth, Moria second baseman Drodgulg Manthrottler had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Manthrottler stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 4-2, Moria. For the game, he was 1 for 5.

“All in all, I thought Halpaeril pitched a fine game for us tonight,” said Moria manager Denilthor Silverbinder.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, October 23rd , 2050.
