The Dunharrow Devils powered past the hometown Moria Miners, 7-4, in the opener of the Return of the King Series at Khazad-dum Stadium. Moria designated hitter Huzhkrut Bonedragger went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the hosts. The Devils now lead the series 1-0.
Dunharrow used a clutch at-bat from Pil-joong Corcorane to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Devils ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
“It was a solid team effort,” said Corcorane after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, October 30th , 2050.
