Pansy Radríguez kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Ravenhill Darkwings were all smiles after winning, 2-0, against the Isengard Raiders at The Ballpark at Helms Deep. The right-handed Radríguez gave up no runs in his start, permitted 1 hit, and tallied 9 strikeouts.
“If there was a stat for ‘team shutout,’ this would be it,” Radríguez said later. “My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be.”
Radríguez has gone 3-0 this season with an ERA of 1.51 and 53 strikeouts in 47.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .155 against him.
