It’s a No-No for Blunt

Saturday, August 26th , 2051
Rivendell Royals starter Sudeep Blunt came up big at Woodland Field with an exceptional 12-0 win against the Mirkwood Sylvan. Not only did he whip them, but Blunt held them hitless, too.

“My arm was a bit sore in warmups,” confessed Blunt. “Sometimes you go out there and you’re not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, ‘Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!’ You’re so focused on what you’re doing, it just happens.”

In the course of the no-hitter, Blunt collected 11 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks — a day good enough to get his name in the history books.

This season to date, Blunt has a record of 11 wins and 7 losses with a 3.71 ERA, has appeared in 28 games and struck out 192 in 186.2 innings.
